Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am Shree. I have completed my bachelor's degree in architecture and i am appearing for CEED 2016.
It was a really great help going through ur blog. Thanks a lot.
I have a request to make, can u upload answers for CEED 2015 Part B?
thnk u, now i cannot give any answers since only 2 days to exam, pl. go thru other prev years design ques that I have dealt in this blog as reference.
DeleteDo you run classes for CEED and NID as well? Please let me know I would love to join
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't run any offline classes. Anyway, thank you for the interest.
DeleteI am a mechanical engineer I am going to appear ceed/nid 2019....which books should I refer?
DeleteHi. What are the career options after completing M.Des. could you please write a blog on that. Also I have done btech and want to pursue designing now. My portfolio is completely empty for now. How do I start with it? Suggestions on that. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAfter MDes graduation, students will usually undertake anyone of the following:
Deletejob relevant to their field, startup (own design based business), consultancy or even go for higher studies.
Many companies are offering design careers. You can check institutes placement prospects. Anyway, I will try writing about that later.
If you've cleared CEED and are about to take admissions, then u should really bother about portfolio, but, if you are yet to write the exam this year end, then u might not have to bother about that now. It's ok if u don't have any portfolio as of now. Start portfolio the very next day after the day of CEED exam! I've explained this in this video -
When to start working on Portfolio and when to skip
If u really want to start now, then chk this! - Tips on making design portfolio for CEED/NID and other design exams
Hey, Bhanu Chander. first of all, I must say your blog is really awesome.
ReplyDeletewell, about me, i am currently working, and my job completely sucks. I thought about study further, but MBA, M.tech neither interest me. I am thinking about Design, particularly product design(i know everyone want that)(or anything else, if you suggest but i had mech. in b.tech so feels like that's the right choice). But don't know what exactly they do in company or what's their job? Is it like developing new product all the time? or kind of problem solving? or something else. Just like my current company, i don't want to regret after getting into some and then think about, i should have taken something else. you know what i mean.. please help.
Product design is really good for you so is Industrial design. Design career puts u into challenging tasks provide you chose the right company or profile. I agree, doing job in India is quite unsatisfactory for most people - that's one pathetic condition we are facing or put it in other words, we are expecting more from our jobs! But there are cases where some people felt unsatisfied with design career too! It all depends on personal choice. Again, it depend son the company and the kind of products they do - if it like you always gets works to do new product design, then it will definitely be challenging. You can think for IXD, PD etc. No wrong in your choice. You may also consider Animation, but I doubt VC might not fit you (I haven't gone thru ur work but I suppose so, coz of ur Mech stream). It's ok, u don't have to worry about what course u took earlier, but right now how you do and what u chose now matters!
DeleteHello, I graduated as an architect in 2011. Thinking of appearing for CEED 2016. Is it to late for me to go for pg in design now?
ReplyDeleteceed has no age constraint that itself says that they encourage anybody of any age group with design passion. Just go ahead
DeleteHello sir what is the cut off for NID.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know about cut off's prem
DeleteHello
ReplyDeleteCan you please share some tasks to be done related to creative problem solving?
Nothing better than taking some examples and trying to suggest some creative ideas, take previous papers or design ques, and try to answer them. The first link will give an generalized idea on creativity development.
Deleteinterview is conducted after how many days of written exams..?
ReplyDeletemostly after two months. It varies for all institute, but u will get sufficient time for interview after the exam
DeleteSir, could you please provide some insight about how to go about drawing the exploded views in questions related to product designing in Part B?
ReplyDeleteI'm already planning to make a post, will share soon,
Deleteto put short, exploded design is just opposite to assembling of parts. Products r usually made using several parts, right ? the process of showing each individual part in your design is exploded drawings. I will discuss this in detail in my post, as of now, u can go thru Google images for some small example like say table lamps, mobile phones, etc

I have taken a year gap after 12th to prepare for ceed and dat and also apply to some university abroad. I was a science student but I believe my passion lies in animation. So how should I prepare for these exams in a year and should I consider coaching?
ReplyDeleteHi, would you be able to provide the study material from BRDS or PAHAL design institutes?
ReplyDeleteI don't have them.
Deletesir are there any details about interior anthropometry ??? can you please help regarding this topic .
ReplyDeleteHi, I haven't heard about it before.
DeleteHello sir
ReplyDeleteThankyou for providing all design realted information in a single blog.It is a boon for non designing background people like me.
Sir I am an electronics engineer and I am intrested in jewellery designing.I am applying in Nid for lifestyle & accessories design.
Please guide me what are other govt and private institutes in which I should be applying. Also, should I appear in CEED? It gives mdes degree but I am not sure its for technical design or non technicalt
Hi, I'm not aware of the institutes for jwellery design in specific. I think googling should give u the list. Regarding CEED, since u r interested in jwellery designing, CEED is not a correction option for you. However, if you are flexible and planning to take other design streams too and also if you're looking for backup, then yes, you might want to give CEED.
DeleteHi, i have a doubt regarding part -B Question 1, do we have to attempt the part of particular programme like (those who want to do m.des industrial design so attempt industrial design question only) is it mandatory or we can attempt any of these?
ReplyDeletePlease let me know. or how does it affect in admission procedure?
u can attempt other stream ques as far as I know. I suggested people in the past to do so.
Deletethank you.
DeleteI have applied for MITID for product design and srishti for human centred design which college should i go for?
ReplyDeleteHi Bhanu, I wanted to come thankyou you sooner but life got busy. Nonetheless, I really appreciate what you do in this blog and on your YouTube channel. I wish more youth and young professionals get the kind of guidance this platform provides. And because of these resources and tips that you have shared, I was able to give the CEED and NID DAT exams with calm confidence. I am a person who hasn't been able to finish her examinations since school days. It's because I overthink and stress over the details while giving exam, that I lose time and me being a slow writer doesn't help either. So every time if I have ever completed my exam would be a joyous occasion.
ReplyDeleteI gave the CEED/NID DAT 2021 this year practicing all the last minute tips and solving papers like you guided. I couldn't finish the exam though :P but I didn't feel guilty for it because it was valuable experience and most of all I felt confident that every question/problem is solvable where as my past UCEED exams used to go bonkers for me and cause more dejection. Anyway, I didn't clear for CEED, I was short off 2 marks which was fine because I solved the paper again and could finish at least 80% in allotted time at home when I solved it whole again. Then the NID DAT prelims results arrived. Out of the two papers I wrote, I got selected for one. And I am preparing for the NID DAT Mains now. Either way, I just wanted to come say thankyou again for all the guidance you provide for the youth like me.
Keep up the great work! All the best with your adventures and have a beautiful day.
Thank yo so much brother/sister. I’m glad you cleared NID. Best wishes to your admission and to your career :)
Delete😁Best wishes to you too Bhanu
