### Resources for JEE Mains paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning)

After I staretd writing for NID and UCEEED, I got several requests from students to cover JEE and NATA too. So, this post is an attempt to cover as much info as possible that can possibly help you with your JEE preparation. I might have covere less or more topics, hopefully you will identify the best and prepare accordingly. As usual, I will update this page as and when time permits or when I get new materials, so keep watching this page for any updates!

### Mathematical Geometry

Like I stated in my earlier post for JEE syllabus, mathematics part (not the aptitude but general math part) is huge and covers wide topics. You must note that the syllabus is actually your intermediate maths and the questions asked are mostly basics. So, if you're a student with math background then its easy for you since a quick recap might hep you, but if you have arts and other background, then you need to do some work on this!

Fortunately Intermediate (11th and 12th text books) covers most of the listed topics, so I'm including available books as of now, but will check for topic specific materials soon -

Textbook on Maths for Mathematics part of JEE

Now we will look into the aptitude part of Maths in JEE. Math aptitude part heavily depends on your imagination and observation skills, which you will get if you understand the basics of solid transformations and different views.  The following set of resources and pdf files will help you to the most for self study.

Leisure time exercises

Like I stated earlier, this is only a few topics, more resources will follow soon!

1. Thankyou so much for coming up with JEE B.Arch and NATA resources. Sir, where can I find JEE paper 2 Part III - Drawing questions of previous years? Please upload. I have only got one in JEE main website.

1. Welcome, I haven't come across any previous paper yet, other than what you already have. Will let you (all) know if found. Or will create my own questions based on prev paper pattern.

2. can u plz give tips for placement of 3d objects in impressive way(drawing part) of mains papers??

1. orthographic view (3D view) of any object is what I consider as impressive, since it can give you clear information about the details and the form of the object. Actually that is the requirement -- the way/view you draw should give as much detail as possible and the outer form of the object/product should be visible and specific so that anybody looking at it can visualize the object and if possible can understand its functionality too (later is questionable but the former is important). Above things sounds like it involves lot of math in it, but it is quite simple. I will try to give some examples with my answers, if possible soon.

3. Sir, can you please tell the answers to the surface counting questions in jee main paper 2 2016?

1. May be soon, I'm caught with some works

4. hello thank you so much for everything you've been doing. could u pls provide any information related to the movement of the sun.questions related to that topic have been appearing in the exam every year

1. will look into this after this week (uceed n ceed is happening so bit busy)

2. no problem thanks for the reply.
Btw i've also been preparing fr uceed and ur blog has been of real great hlp

3. In my NID exam I got 53 questions right but not sure abt the marking scheme do u think i'll qualify to the next round.

4. don't worry about the exam u have already given, just focus on upcoming exam, u said u r writing uceed also, so spend time preparing. Regardless of whether u get good score or not, it's better to have backups and give two or three alternate exams for safer side

5. thanks a lot sir. ur really great.....

6. hello sir i just wanted to remind abt my previous request for the problems related to the movement of the sun.
only a month left approx. for paper 2

7. hello sir.Is it enough to study 11th and 12th standard maths book only for JEE main paper 2 maths section?

1. I don't think only maths text books would work well. Practicing from book banks, I mean solved papers and sample JEE tests would come handy to help you improve speed as well as give alternative fast approach of solving. If your college has got library or book bank, try some books for practice. If you are left with time (after ur 11th hand 12th study), try revising them and solving MCQ ques. Good luck

9. sir i there any section wise cutoff in jee paper 2

1. i'm really not sure about this years' sectional status. You can check it probably in jee brochure.

10. Sir. Could you give your comments on the changes in NATA 2017 pattern of exam? Since more of Maths has been included this year, what resources would be good to prepare from? Is it the same as JEE paper 2 or more similar to UCEED/NID?
