The syllabus for UCEED (for BDes entrance) is too wide (diverse) that straight forward books and materials are not seen as of date. Seeing the high prices of the coaching institutes and the interests of the students, I've gathered possible resources from different sources and tried to put them under one umbrella to save your time and help you access them. For your convenience, I have detailed UCEED syllabus at the end of this page.
Note: UCEED syllabus/questions are same as CEED Part A, so I have also included CEED mock tests in this page for your practice. You may also go through CEED previous papers to experience UCEED kind of questions

UCCED Syllabus
As a brief, for those who are new to UCCED, and who are not aware of the syllabus , I have just copied the syllabus and content of UCEED from their (IITB official) brochure.
The exam will have questions from the following six topics:
Visualization and spatial ability
Pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test: understanding of transformation and/or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships; knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.
Observation and design sensitivity
Ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things, people, situations, and events, and thinking critically about them. Applying attention to certain details, analysing, reasoning, classifying, inferring and predicting. Ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes.
Environmental and social awareness
General awareness of environmental factors such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources etc., and their implications on the design of products, images, infrastructure and environment. Awareness of social and cultural connection with design, history of the designed artefact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. History of art, sculpture and literature.
Analytical and logical reasoning
Ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature, and discern patterns within the information. Ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria. Ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions. Ability to use logic and structured thinking to deduce from a short passage, which of a number of statements is the most accurate response to a posed question. Data Interpretation, brainteasers, and patterns.
Language and creativity
Ability to understand and use Standard English. Reading comprehension, knowledge of English grammar such as sentence structure and usage, the use of tenses, verb patterns, articles, and active and passive constructions etc., and vocabulary skills. Ability to think creatively in terms of alternatives, ability to distinguish innovative options and think out of the box.
Design thinking and problem solving
Ability to use visual analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols. Ability to understand complexity, identify problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions.
Here's my video guide on "How to utilize time for UCEED in last one week"
Thank You! You're a true blessing. Kudos to Stuff You Look! Gotta spread this around now...
ReplyDeletePlease can you tell me how to attempt uceed question paper
Deletespecifically which section should i attempt first ?
And the time distribution should i make for each section ?
Hey sir,
ReplyDeleteI found this "knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts." written in the first part of syllabi. Can you please tell how it is related to visualization part ? And thank you for all the content you have provided till now, really of great help!
Everyday mech concepts is not related to visualisation, it's related to your keenness about your surrounding - I mean it related to your observation of your environment. I'm figuring out a way to represent here. Hope to come up with some idea soon!
ReplyDeletewonderful and really helpful site! thank you for all the links and your effort!
ReplyDeleteHow should we prepare for the multiple selection type questions ?
ReplyDeletePractise as many as u can!
DeleteSir can uhh give one more paper for practice and final touch..:)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying friend :)
DeleteWat will be the level of maths questions and how many questions may come?
ReplyDeleteProbably the level of math questions would be 10th and inter, but questions will not be of direct mathematics type - but applications of maths, like aptitude. I'm not sure about the no. of ques!
Deletesir give us the final suggestions so that we can score more and more in UCEED,as our preperation is fentabulous sooo wanna score more than 80% ?????
ReplyDeleteI just thought of not bothering people with too many posts during the last couple of days. Anyway here are some final suggestions for everyone
Delete1. Stay calm and relaxed. Everybody will be in tense, and those who stay cool and answer questions - with their mind present will definitely clear the exam
2. Stop going through lengthy new topics - don't waste much of your time going through new topics that consumes much time. Example being reading comprehension
3. Your confidence is your weapon, be confident.......!
4. Sleep well before exam
5. Careful with negative markings - don't jump to answer all answers, think before you answer. Answer only when the probability of correct answer is greater than 70%. Trying to answer all ques is a bad strategy! Try to be smart in choosing questions
6. The exam has three sections, right? - take the sections that is easy to you, like for me, MCQ type are easy rather than numerical. Numericals don't have options right ? Or it's like answer all the questions that doesn't have negative marking
7. Pray to God - not for success but for your practice to go well. Even God can't help, if you're not smart and didn't practice well. Utilize the available time (as much as possible) for practice rather than on social networks.
Finally All the best :)
thanks for your suggestions :)
DeleteTYSM,sir!!...:)
Deletethanks sir for your valuable suggestions.
Deletethanks bro..ur posts are awesome
ReplyDeletesir i need ur help on one ques
ReplyDeletepls help me out on ques no 36 of this link
http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015/ceed2015.pdf
Hello Bahuguna,
DeleteSorry for the delay, I just checked the question. It's basically to identify front view, right ? If the rectangular rod is to be aligned over a cone, then coz the cone is circular and if it's say a circular rod, then the front view (where the the cone and the circular rod interacts) will be a straight line, but here the case is square rod, so, it has to be fit into a circular shape, which will take the shape as shown in the option A. Unfortunately, I cannot make a picture at this moment, so just imagine the case. Anyway for now, don't spend much time on a single question. Try as many questions as possible at this point of time.
All the best.
Based on your experience, what do you think will be the cut off for ucced this year? (just a random estimate after looking at the paper and answer key)
ReplyDeleteI've already explained in the above comment, that predicting cutoffs are not easy. But I think may be between > 80-90 might be the cut off - I expect this as the least score.
DeleteHello Meru Vashist,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the good words, accidentally your comment got delved and I'm unable to undo it. Anyway, I've gone through your comment. Since your expected score is 141, there's a good chances of getting call for admission. If you can check the above discussions, we have discussed that the expected cut off would be around 80-90. So I suppose you're on safer side (although it's my guess)
SIR i need ur help on certain questions
ReplyDeletei giving below the link of question paper i think some answers might be wrong iit has asked for any rectification in answer keys till 5 june so it will be best if u reply at earliest
http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/uceed/UCEED-2015-Question-Paper.pdf
and here is the answer key
http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/uceed/UCEED-2015-Answer-Key.pdf
i think that answer of question no 30 should be A C D
BUT THE GIVEN ANSWER IS D
next i have a doubt on question no 26
The given answer is b c
i think if b is there i can make D and A also by simply putting two half spheres together for d.
and lastly i want your help on ques 4 i want to know which all alphabets they are counting their answer is 14.
Already one of our friend asked the same thing earlier, but I have been travelling and will be engaged till this weekend. I will try to look into those questions soon
DeletePlease note the answers given by our dosth - Amber in the below comment for now.
DeleteQuestions 30,26,4 are absolutely right.
ReplyDeleteIn question 4 alphabets are A,B,C,D,E,F,H,I,K,M,O,V,W,X.
Letters AV,EF,MW, are water images of each other in questions.I also discovered this after giving exam.:-)
Thank you so much for the answers Amber and thanks for helping out and interacting with others in this blog.
DeleteHow many seat in iiitdm Jabalpur of B. Des
ReplyDeletenot sure bro, may be <30
DeleteHey Bhanu sir,
ReplyDeleteYou must have seen the paper. Do you think many students have got marks above 100 and will iit decrease the cut off if not much of them have scored above 100?
There's a chance that cutoff;s might go down, although not compulsory, but chances occur when the avg performance is less (like u have mentioned). The other side of the issue is since the no. of participants are more, we cannot go and judge with the above assumption, same people might get equal scores! better to wait for the results instead of getting confused.
DeleteAIR 144? Any chances for IIITDM?
ReplyDeleteLittle chance for IIITDM = I guess, try applying for other private institutes too!
DeleteSir, my rank is 151......should I keep my hopes alive for even the lastest of the seats in any colleg???? (You can lie to me :(
ReplyDeleteIf I were to speak lie, then the answer is NO! there are many colleges offering UDES, check out and you should have great chances. Ranks are just a part, selection process is still not clear and is not solely based on Ranks!
Deleteany chances if my rank is 265?
ReplyDeleteDoubtful for IITB n IITDM, but give it a try (esp for other institutes)
DeleteHey sir,
ReplyDeleteI got qualified in uceed but my rank is low. But I think that there must be some other criteria also for selection otherwise why would they give ranks to everyone who have scored above 100 marks and not select 30 students now only. What do you think sir about this?
It's still unclear to me, whether they will assume any more criteria for selection. Might be your percentile or some other way. Anyway, I'm expecting IITB's studio/aptitude test as screening ! let's wait till they release the official notifications.
DeleteI failed my uceed exam. M good in sketching creative things but i m not even qualified so m confused wht should i do try for nid( i hav solved part b its easy) or should chng my dream coz my parents are not supporting me either. Whts your take ?
ReplyDeleteIf you are gud at part B, then you shld try NID too! I never want to depress anyone. All I can say is if you missed something, then something better is waiting for you. So, if you can, go for NID. In the worst case, you can choose other options - either getting into engineering or say joining a degree course (like bsc/diploma design course), simultaneously practice for UCEED for the coming year, then cracking with good score (Actually one of our blog friend is doing this way, they shared this idea with me). What do u say ?
DeleteThx a lot for your suggestion. m commerc student i think i should go for fine arts or visual arts it will inhence my artistic knowledge n side by side i will prepare for uceed right?
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's kind of good idea, but since you are already good at sketchingn and creative works, you can directly try for any of the available courses like bdes, NID, CPET, Symiosis and many more to mention. If in case you also miss this years admission in these institutes, then the left option take some course (like you wished fine arts) and then prepare for UCEED or other similar exams simultaneously. I'd say, you may also try for bsc animation, multimedia or other courses if you are really interested, since you already are good at sketching! Let me know the status of your exam, I mean which part (type of questions) of UCEED exam that you made many mistakes - like geometry picture type, reasoning, eng comprehension etc ?
DeleteGeometry ! I m week in maths. I got zero in part A. My total was 76. I havnt attempted a single question from part A
ReplyDeleteI see, then you better go with your plan of fine arts instead of taking up technical related courses for now. But make sure that you learn those concepts (aptitude and geometry) along with your fine arts course, if not as a part of the course module, but as part own f your future prep/plan. Remember, aptitude and geo study CAN'T BE NEGLECTED if you are aiming for design courses like that of UCEED, CEED, CEPT, or even other private institute exams. NID is a bit different case (I guess) where you can clear the exam even if your math aptitude level is less! BUT you should be good at art/sketching!
DeleteIt's not required to be completely good at maths, only a part (reasoning and deductive kind) are required as part of aptitude preparation. If you can understand the logic in solving some kind of questions, then you can automatically solve more related questions. If you have gone through this blog's resource page (UCEED materials page), you would've noted that the first topic that I included and recommended is 'Geometry and image type questions' . They really help in increasing your observation/visualization and imagination skills. So, please start working and preparing on them (even if you focus on NID!). Once you solve some questions, you will enjoy doing more questions since you would feel that as easy one! Simultaneously I think aptitude skills improves.
Hope this helped you with your prep plan. Gud luk :)
This year's UCEED paper has many picture type questions (like in previous CEED papers). This itself shows how geo/image type ques are imp in design exams!
DeleteYep ! You are right like always :D i will do exactly wht u said. Finally i m out of the woods
ReplyDelete:)
Deletehi sir ..i qualified uceed but with low rank..so excluding iitb and iitdm ..cld i get admission in anyother designing college considering my uceed marks?
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, you are eligible for other design institutes, but make sure that you meet their minimal requirements, scores etc. You can gt those details in individual institute websites. Keep an eye for institute notifications and dates for safer side. Also, I remember one our friend, shared some links which help us to get an overview of the list of design institutes offering bdes. Please go through them if you need details. You can find that in our Facebook timeline - I suppose.
Deletei will surely note it sir ..thankyou :)
DeleteHey, my uceed rank is 455 and i was wondering if you could tell me whether my rank is good enough to secure a seat in IIT-B or IITDM.
ReplyDeleteThankyou
Almost doubtful. Very very less chances!
Deletei had appeared fo ruceed 2015 exam but was disqualified .i want to know whether i'm eligible for applying to uceed 2016 exam?i have passed my 12th in 2014
DeleteI fear you cannot, those who complete in 2015, or going to complete in 2016 are probably eligible. Please check other design courses from other institutes and their eligibility criteria.
Deletebut sirr!!! UCEED 2015 being the first UCEED examination, it will be the first attempt for all candidates....... so the students who passed 12th in 2014 can eligible for uceed 2016..... i think so :\
DeleteAny candidate can only have two chances for UCEED that too in consecutive years. And according to UCEED flyer, the following has been mentioned
Delete"The candidate should have passed their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2014, OR passed or appeared in 2015."
Of course this is for 2015 UCEED exam, so for 2016, I guess, they might consider from 2015. But yes, one way your assumption is right and 2014 passed out might get a chance. Anyway better to note the age criteria too
"The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1995" for UCEED
my uceed rank is 265 and i was wondering if you could tell me whether my rank is good enough to secure a seat in IIT-B or IITDM.
ReplyDeleteChances are less
DeleteUCEED cutoff AIR for IIITDM Jabalpur-
ReplyDeleteGeneral- 66
OBC- 367
SC- 834
ST- 380
Thank you Aaditya for letting everyone know about the cutoff's :)
Deletehey aaditya where did you got that information and can you tell me cutoff air for iitb and iitguwahati
DeleteBhanu sir
ReplyDeletePlz. Start the preparation for UCEED 2016 ???
It's a do or die situation
Isn't this too early to start Rohit ? The exam must be in the coming summer, and do you really think that we should start at this point of time ?
Deletecan uceed be given offline
ReplyDeleteNo, UCEED and CEED exams are online. CEED Part B is conducted offline.
Deletewhat should be cutoff for iitb for obc criteria
ReplyDeletePl, refer to the institute admission brochure for details.
Deletehow many marks should i get in hsc exam for admission to iitb
ReplyDeleteIt's not specific, although I guess UCEED is dependent mostly on your 12th status!
DeleteI had got a mail to upload my signature in proper format as signature was too compressed. I had accidentally uploaded by signature in Qualifying Certificate section. What should I do ? Refill a new form > Help !! Help !!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not wrong, then you must be talking about CEED application, anyway, I think you can just upload the signature under sign section. If that option is not available and if you haven't paid the application fees, then try making a new appli but with different mail ID.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the UCEED-2015 AIR cutoff at IIT Bombay? Any idea?
ReplyDeleteNot sure.
Deletehello sir,
ReplyDeletei am not able to decide what to do after giving so many exams and not getting any option other then joining n any private institute.i had given UCEED by doing coaching from BRDS ,and i.e. the biggest mistake i have done after passing 12th this year with 70% marks.i got 4 less marks in the 1st part, i.e. Math. & Numeric ability, but scores 110+ marks in total.i belong to OBC category.so i was not qualified.i had'nt given nid or nift because of document problem.sir, i also scored good in nata(115/200) but had'nt got govt. college because of late response.but now i want to ask you after reading your article:is Mdes for you?,that should i go for engineering coaching or what else if i want to get through the bachelor in engineering design, M.des for Uceed or getting in NID or NIFT.please reply.
You can do mdes even after doing engineering, in fact many of ceed applicants have engineering background. But since bdes course is specific and if u have real interest towards complete design just like that taught in mdes, then you should look for bdes. This course might blend your design skills from the very first year. Do, check your interest, which kind of design do you wish to take ? You can check the basic difference between mdes and engineering in the link that i provided in the comment below. Hopefully you will get yourself cleared. Also don't try to take all the exams, focus on some couple of exams, and aim for them. Do revert if u still have confusions!
Deletewhat is the basic diff. between engineering design and M.des..
ReplyDeleteYou can get the answer here - Is M.Des best for you ?
Deleteiam pursuing diploma polytechnic course m in 3 rd year
ReplyDeletecan i eligible to write xam uceed xam
I think you are, anyway pls chk uceed brochure if your degree is included in the eligibility list or not.
DeleteSIR as you know uceed application forms are open now and i have filled it.I am currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.I gave uceed last year and my rank was 400 so i am giving it again. My semester exams will end in first week of January sir how will i be able to prepare for it.
ReplyDeletebetter start from at least from Nov and cover before Dec. u already have some idea abt exm n its pattern, so probably you would be able to figure out d proper way of studying for the exm. You also know which area u need improvement n which areas/topics u r gud at, so u can schedule ur calender accordingly. spare Dec for your univ exam preparation! n give overview of uceed topics once in a week during Dec.
DeleteBefore I start off with my question, let me thank you for this wonderful blog sir. Given all the hype around the UCEED exam, what kind of graduate degree options are possible after a B.Des other than M.Des?
ReplyDeleteAny course related to design welcomes students with bdes background. Although, I don't know much details, but i think that options and flexibility are quite less as compared to candidates holding btech degree.
DeleteSir, how to study the history of art and culture mentioned in the syllabus?
ReplyDeleteOne need to memorize them, no other option Prateek, Some areas might leave you some pattern or logical thing (whatever) which would help you to memorize ...... like the best way of remembering anything (applies even to your studies) is to relate a picture to every theory or any issue for that matter, try this way, at least it should help a little in memorizing :)
DeleteHello sir,
ReplyDeleteThank you for preparing such a nice blog.I am in class 12 (commerce with fine art), i have interest in designing.I have my preboard 1 in the month of November and preboard 2 in the month of December and January. I need your advice whether i should start preparing right from today (6 November) or give my preboard 1 and then start preparing for NID and UCEED from the month of December.Given that i am good at drawing(leaving drawing of animals) and solving designing problems, but i am very bad when it comes to english and general awareness. Also i m quite worried about UCEED (i still need to go through all of your stuffs). Also i need to refresh myself on perspective and those basic stuff of proportion. Please guide me sir. I really want to qualify UCEED.
better to start from today especially aptitude type ques (take relief and don't ponder much on GA as of now). You got plenty of time considering your exams too! just start parallely, and cover topics wisely :)
DeleteSir,
ReplyDeleteWhich one is better to join? B.Tech@IIT-DELHI OR B.DES@IIT-B?? Right now I am 12th. After practicing last year paper, I scored 164 which college do you think I will get?
It's totally yur personal choice as well as your interest, chk which interests u more - engineering or design, they r quite different in some sense. Engineering can be taken by even half hearted guys but design cannot be choosen by half hearted guys, u need to have passion n of course some motivation to progress further in career. So, chk ur inteerst n decide, do u have the habit of making sketches, or working with colors, making creative things or diy ? if u haven't tried any of these before, better to go for engineering, else, u have two options !
DeleteAnyway chk the difference b/w engineering n design here -
Is Design career perfect for you ?
hope that solves ur doubt!
I wanted to be a Automotive Designer. By mistake I joined coaching for B.Tech :D
ReplyDeleteYeap. Sketching is my hobby. I am trying to be able to get a good college where I can Study for Automotive Designing. I need your suggestion.
I attempted last year UCEED paper at home for practice. I got 164 marks? Which college do you think I can get at such score???
If u have good financial support, consider going for DYPDC, I heard it's good, I'm not sure about scores and ranks for UCEED, I came to know that last year between 160-169 they called for admissions,so I think ur score is descent enough. But the considering the less seats, AIR is imp than score, again considering less national institutes for bdes, it's bit tough for me to tell the college details!
DeleteSir,I've started preparing for UCEED-2016 from November. It's not too late to prepare,is it? Because my main focus is on JEE mains.
ReplyDeleteAlso,is there a book we can refer to, this year, considering this is the second year of examination?
Actually it's too early! ....... I just mean that your start time is appropriate no need to worry. Doesn't matter when you started, but it always matter how you are improvising and covering in the stipulated time, just go ahead n think abt exam preparation rather than other issues likes start time, institutes, branch etc. I haven't come across any book as of now, nor have I heard from any one. As far as I heard, people said that books are not content-full till now. So, I cannot recommend you any book. Solve previous papers and prepare topics that is most suited with that pattern!
DeleteSir great videos! I had some questions
ReplyDelete1.) Is there any eligibility criteria for UCEED? because ive heard from many people that one needs more than 50% in his boards to qualify
2.) I've some professional work which ive done on photoshop, should i include it in my portfolio?
3.) How to manage time during exam?
4.) What are the important things which are needed in order to break the ice during the interview?
5.) Some more info of the interview process for UCEED
chk the FAQ's in UCEED page here -
DeleteFAQ's on UCEED page
I think you haven't properly understood UCEED process, pl chk UCEED web page properly.
Interview or Portfolio is not required for UCEED. Admission is based on score!
Manage time by first answering non negative type questions, then going to negative marked questions.
All the questions in UCEED 2016 have negative marking :) They've slightly changed the format this year.
Deleteoh is it! thank u for the update
DeleteAaditya Padhye r u sure abt cgange of pattern ?? frm whr did u get to know
Deletesir how to prepare for jee mains paper 2
ReplyDeleteI don't know about jee, please refer to any other blogs or books
DeleteSir can u plz inform me abt the marks of uceed 2015 air 1
ReplyDeleteSir,
ReplyDeleteThe study materials you are providing are really helpful for us.Thank you very much for gathering all the useful materials all at one place. Sir,there is a request of mine... Plz include some PDF on colour theory and about fonts, specially where to use a specific font like which must be used for a joyus invitation.. And others...
Plz sir...
I've included some good guide for color theory in this page, and of not in this page somewhere in recently released mock tests. I will try to group them here as well as add some additional resources regarding your above said topics very soon.
DeleteSir i m a student of class 12th and in case if i dont get selected in uceed what are some other recognised colleges for b tech design
ReplyDeleteI think there is no specific specialization for design through B.Tech. Although after btech u have many options for design either through mdes or by way of mtech, ms etc Look for NID, Architecture and planning schools for design options.
DeleteSir ,have you uploaded uceed 2015 original paper solutions with explanations ?? can u sens me the link because i am unable to find it.
ReplyDeleteBhanu sir,
ReplyDeletecan u please tell me if there is an official mock test for UCEED 2016 before the main exam? If so, when and where will i be able to see it? i remember seeing it long back but now i cant find the link.
Every year and for all the design exams, there will be sample paper or mock tests, UCEED had mock test this may, but even I'm not finding the link for this Jan. Probably they will update soon, watch IITB uceed page regularly to check if they release sometime before next week.
DeleteThank you so much! I'll keep checking.
DeleteHii sir i am very much terrified about this uceed exam. i just want to clear it . i am feeling like my life depends on it, it is making me more and more anxious. how should i prepare. i have not started yet plzz helpppp plzzzz
ReplyDeleteAnyone's success is proportional to the level of positiveness in them. The more one is feared, the more is he/she falling into traps. So, it's upto you to make or break your confidence! Don't know what you are upto untill now and although it's very late to start preparation, but it's never late - utilise the time left with you and make use of the resources. The best thing for those starting at this time is just rely on topics or sources available at hand rather than spending time searching for topics which eats directly the time for preparation.
DeleteUCEED pattern is known and unlike in CEED or NID, uceed has no design or sketch part, so relax yourself, sit back for half an hour, overview the syllabus and understand which part you can cover quickly and which part is difficult to cover in the next couple of weeks, plan a schedule of topics to be covered and start working on it. Try not to attempt mock test in the very beginning without any prior practice. Getting less marks in mock test (that's obvious without prior practice) will take your confidence to even more lower levels. Systematic preparation with positive self confidence can help to attain even the top positions at times!
Hello Sir , can you please tell me how manu number of question there will be in each part, part a part B and part C ? for UCEED
ReplyDeleteRefer to UCEED brochure for details. It should be available there!
Deletesir do you have the answer key to the mock test 2016 put up on the uceed website ?
ReplyDeleteno
DeleteThe mock test 2016 put up on the website have most of the questions from last year's uceed paper.
Deletethe questions in mock test 2016 on uceed website...are all from uceed15 ppr...u may chk the answers in uceed15 solutions given by sir!
Deletethanks to both of u for the info. Ashwin can now chk the solutions in uceed page as suggested by Priyanka.
DeleteThank you Priyanka, uceed aspirant and Sir.
DeleteBest of luck to all .
Sir please can you give some last minute tips for UCEED?
ReplyDeleteya, probably at the end of today.
DeleteSir can you give an idea about srushti syllabus and exam pattern and prep material. Thanks.

DeleteSorry sir couldn't tell u yesterday how the paper was!!
ReplyDeleteThe paper wasn't very easy nor was it very tough! Mediocre!!
There some weird questions although like the one was some Censorship error code!! and some video band or quality something!!
There was one about Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings, and one about the foldable chair which is hinged at points!!!
Anyways, you'll know on 20th!!
Just thought I should tell!!!
Ty again!! :)
ya I came to know about the paper, thank you for sharing the info :)
Deletethe clock question from your blog also came.... thanks :P
DeleteI thank u again for the very useful info u give
ReplyDeleteSir i have Visited IIT-B and also met last years uceed toppers, who are currently in bdes of IDC.
ReplyDeleteEveryone told me that they went unprepared and really didn't expected that they were going to be selected. It also happened that i asked last year maximum marks scored and you know what it was only 157.
Ya, some times strange things happens, I think luck is playing role! or it's like some people have good memory skills that they don't have to prepare but use their skills in appropriate places.
DeleteSir can I know the list of exams or courses after 12th class for taking animation as field of study
ReplyDeleteYes I want to know about this too.
DeletePlease help Sir.
And Naveen if u really are interested in animation and can afford to go abroad, I would highly recommend SCAD(Savannah College of Art and Design) and its Frances Larkin Scholarship(Full Tuition Scholarship).
The colleges are in Atlanta, Savannah and Hong Kong.

How to solve questions related to font In uceed.plz help.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Font questions are like learning literature or a language. We have to observe them and understand the pattern. While, there are several font groups belonging to similar family, learning them as such would help you. I've already shared plenty of online pages that deals with this family of fonts. You may want to chk that.
DeleteUCEED Resources page 2
Thanks sir for your immense help.
DeleteSir I am really confused about joining a coaching institute for uceed. Is it necessary? Many say that with the help of these institutes I can get always in touch with the teachers through the course. Moreover please guide me how to follow your blog if it is enough for uceed.
ReplyDeleteThank you
It's not a bad idea to join any institute. If you were able to find some good institute near your living place and if u can afford for the course, then you can join. The only thing is make sure that the institute has good reputation interms of reviews from previous students. For UCEED, the more you study the more will be better, so I should not say that this blog is enough although it covered most part of the topics. So, better start with the "how to start with " page and the resources page that I shared. Also go through prev papers as many times as possible to understand the pattern and get used to that type of ques. Also try CEED ques without fail.
Deletedo we have to learn vehicle model no.s also ?? I mean is it necessary ??
ReplyDeleteno, it's not required. Just stick to the syllabus.
DeleteCan uceed preparation can be done within a month?
ReplyDeleteThank you
depends,
Deletemostly not advisable butt can be done!
Many many thanks to you sir 😃
ReplyDeletehii sir!!please suggest me some best books available for UCEED.
ReplyDeleteI haven't come across any book delivering all the topics of UCEED as the topics are diverse. Arihant NATA study book is one which I found useful for geometry and other similar ques. Apart from that regarding design GA, one has to depend on online resources. Any GA book will be helpful for current affairs. English and paragraph comprehension can be studied from any book.
DeleteSir, how to answer paragraph type questions in uceed they very lengthy to read and understand ?
ReplyDeleteI don't think there are any shortcuts for that. It can't be helped, we can increase speed only by practice I guess.
DeleteSir,is there any time limit for each question in uceed ?
ReplyDeleteNo, within 3 hours you can choose any ques. and spend as much time you want.

Hi Bhanu
ReplyDeleteMy son is in 9th. He is interested in design. U r blog is really informative.will u plz guide as to how he should go ahead with his interest and what he should do to improve his skills
As he is still in 9th, help him develop interest towards sketching and make creative DIY (Do It Yourself) works as his hobby because for one to take up design as a career, design thinking is imp, which means he/she should have the creative/lateral thinking. This is possible when they take up hand works as hobby like sketching, painting, art/craft works, doing/watching animations etc. Let him also start puzzles - esp. involving images. This will help him with aptitude skills. Ask him to observe things around him and identify problems (in terms of usage) with them, also ask him to suggest some ideas or come up with some solution for that. If possible, let him sketch. With time, your son should be doing this by himself without your guidance.
DeleteHello sir your blog is really helping a lot can you suggest something regarding the new paper pattern of uceed 2020 which includes drawing section also? What type of qs we can aspect fpr 60 marks?
ReplyDeleteYou can check this video released yesterday for UCEED new pattern guide. I'm uploading practice sketch questions for part B in a short while
Deletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d196g07FHE&t=40s
Sir, I tried uceed 2019 question paper without any preperation or any idea about uceed question paper. I scored 105 marks. Im confident that I can clear out uceed 2020 (Im +2). But Im npw little nervous about Part B of new syllabus because Im not at all expert at drawing.what should I do. Please can you suggest a daily strategy for preperation also..
ReplyDeleteFor Part B, I'm trying to come up with a sketch practice strategy and I will do it when time permits. All you can do is start practicing the basics of sketching - the links of which are available. You can find the exercises provided above to be very helpful once you start ur sketch practice.
DeleteSir can you give me a solution of uceed 2020 part B please
ReplyDeleteok, will give a quick solution in the coming days - after solving part A.
DeleteDon't know how I would have prepared for nid nift and uceed without this blog..hats off to you sir..you are legit amazing thank you so much for all these efforts and most ideal prep tool for design...they mean the most..if I do get selected next year my major credit will go to you undoubtedly!!
